I got a set of these.
and a pair of these.
It will be going on this.
I’ll be disturbing the peace pretty soon. I will keep you guys posted as I don’t plan on installing it for another few weeks.

Shit, I still need to get my taxes done.

Yes, yes.
Are you planning to paint this beast someday, or just leave it as is? That body is so clean.

Sweet!
Throw those header gaskets right the hell in the trash and get a set of Ultraseals or Seal-4-Goods.

I’ll probably just leave it. it’s super solid other than the cab corners.
I’ll get the corners fixed and color matched as best as possible.

Got $1600 bucks back this year and it’s also the first year where I don’t have the money spent ahead of time.

I spent part of mine on headers. Which will have to be cut up to actually fit because my project is a 20 car pileup of clearances, but still.

That’s pretty rad. Good stuff.

Hey I’m checking those out but how do I know which ones to get ahead of time? I don’t know if I have square, round or oval ports?

my project is a 20 car pileup of clearances
Then why did you buy headers, are you just a glutton for pain?
![]() 03/14/2016 at 17:33 |

Well, because the stock manifolds weren’t going to fit either. Honestly, do I have to explain everything?
![]() 03/14/2016 at 17:36 |

Stock manifolds wont fit!? I forgot how unique your application was.

Most stock RV8 manifolds cross over themselves right where I don’t have space. The only ones that would come close to working are P6 ones, and they have their own issues. Among them, being small.

You can check by head casting number or by year of engine.
Might actually be an easy day-of purchase at your local auto store.

1986 Chevy 350 LT9
Being in canada if I go to a local part store they’ll just have the fel-pro oem style gaskets.

Awesome! I’m spending half of mine on a new alternator(TURBOOOOH) and the other half of a wireless headset for the PC.

I’m saving the rest for adult responsibilities(adulting is hard). It’s a shame I’m too financially responsible. I wouldn’t mind going on an all out shopping spree.

Looks at $400 tax bill.... Man I miss returns, but I don’t miss being broke. Cheers on the new goodies.

It’s because I had $4300 in deductibles this year plus I pay and extra $25 bucks a paycheck in taxes to make sure I don’t have to own.
Last time I did my taxes without the extra taken off the paycheck I got 7 bucks back.
Apparently now that I’m a parent next year I’ll get even more.

Yeah, dependant +1. Congrats on the baby. Auto love lives one more generation.

Fel pro is probably fine too. The cheapie “paper” ones will probably blow out in no time.

never had much luck with collector gaskets of ANY kind, always getting blown out. high temp RTV with them would seal and hold for a while, unless you try to panic stop and downshift dumping the clutch. aluminum flange gaskets last pretty good though.

Leg burners, or mounting those pipes out the back?

Got $1900 back this year! But it’s going into the savings account for a ‘69-’77 automatic Corvette and a Tremec TKO500 and 5 speed swap kit
:(
Anticipated point of purchase December 2016

I never did. I only ever called cherry bombs cherry bombs but they went out of business last year so now I have to settle for purple hornies.
![]() 03/15/2016 at 10:24 |

underneath. bolting them up right to the headers. They will dump right behind the cab.

Ha ha purple hornies, I hope they sent a sticker for the rig.

Hopefully away from the fuel tank and out to the sides. Don’t want to cook your fuel or your ass.

Just seeing this. How did the Hornies sound?
